The NEWFIRM Medium-Band Survey (NMBS): accurate redshifts for 40,000 K-selected galaxies:
- The data release includes deep NIR medium-bandwidth photometry in the J1, J2, J3, H1 and H2 bands over the wavelength range 1-1.8 microns, as well as broad-band K, in the AEGIS and COSMOS fields. The observations were carried out on the Mayall 4-m telescope on Kitt Peak using the NOAO Extremely Wide-Field Infrared Imager (NEWFIRM). We describe the full details of the observations, data reduction and photometry in a forthcoming paper (K. Whitaker et al. submitted to ApJ). A NEWFIRM Survey of the SDWFS/NDWFS Field
- The Infrared Bootes Imaging Survey is a near-infrared imaging survey covering the entire Spitzer Deep Wide-Field Survey (SDWFS) region, which corresponds to the Bootes field of the NOAO Deep Wide-Field Survey. This public release includes data from 52 subfields that together span the region, and that overlap with one another by roughly 2 arcmin on each side. We provide both the final reduced images and J-band selected, line matched catalogs for all subfields. Along with these images, we also provide weight maps from the SWARP software, and flag images denoting regions with poor data (more details can be found here).

ChaMPlane: Measuring the Faint X-ray Binary and Stellar X-ray Content of the Galaxy:
- We have received 1427 fits images from the The Chandra Multiwavelength Plane (ChaMPlane) Survey project. It includes 65 fields from KPNO observations from 2000-2004 and CTIO observations from 2001-2005, approximately 350GB total. Additional information is provided through the project's web site.

zBootes : z-band Observations of the NOAO Deep Wide-Field Survey Bootes Field:
- Optical imaging obtained for zBootes, a z-band survey of the NOAO Deep Wide-Field Survey Bootes Field using the Steward Observatory 2.3m Bok telescope and the 90Prime imager. The zBootes imaging covers 7.62 of the NDWFS survey area and reaches a mean 50% completeness limit of 22.8 mag in the z-band. For details see zBootes.

Faint Sky Variability Survey (FSVS):
- The Faint Sky Variablity Survey (FSVS) provides a database for studying faint populations and their variability, spanning 16-24 mag across the optical regime using the B, V, and I filters with time-sampling obtained in the V band over tens of minutes to years. With a total area coverage of 23 sq. degrees at moderate-to-high Galactic latitudes, the FSVS also provides a sample spanning relatively different Galactic populations. The FSVS was part of the Isaac Newton Telescope (INT) Wide Field Survey. The INT is operated on the island of La Palma by the Isaac Newton Group the Spanish Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos of the Instituto de Astrofisica de Canarias. In addition to the images available in the Archive, the FSVS Photometric and astrometric catalogs can be found on the Archive FTP site at FSVS Catalogs.

FLAMEX Public Data Release DR1 (Bootes):
- The FLAMINGOS Extragalactic Survey (FLAMEX) is a deep, near-infrared imaging survey covering 7.1 square degrees within the NOAO Deep Wide-Feld Survey (NDWFS) regions. FLAMEX is the first such deep, wide-area survey to image in both the J and Ks filters, and is larger than any previous NIR surveys to comparable depth. This is a release of the FLAMEX survey images of the BOOTES field, the complete catalog for the BOOTES field can be obtained from the FLAMEX web site Public Data Release.

SINGG Release 1.0 now available:
- Survey for Ionization in Neutral Gas Galaxies (SINGG), a census of star formation in Hi-selected galaxies. The new datasets focuses on 93 SINGG targets whose observations have been fully reduced and analyzed to date. The majority of these show a single Emission Line Galaxy (ELG). There are multiple ELGs in 13 fields, with up to four ELGs in a single field. Details of the SINGG survey can be found at the SINGG web site.

XBootes X-ray-optical merged catalog now available:
- The XBootes Survey is a 5-ks Chandra survey covering the Bootes Field of the NOAO Deep Wide-Field Survey (NDWFS). This catalog presents the 3,213 X-ray point-source in the XBootes survey which overlap with the NDWFS data. This catalog can be obtained from our anonymous FTP site (xbootes). See the about_xbootes.txt for more detail.

- NDWFS Data Release 3: Includes all the Mosaic-1 optical and ONIS K-band imaging of the Boötes Field of the NDWFS (9.3 square degrees in area); 101 images with accompanying SIGMA (SIG), RMS files and MASK fiels. Object Catalogues available from the survey site.

The addition of the La Serena web site, is part of a broader NOAO goal to bring convenient access to archived astronomy data in both hemispheres.

- Bulk Download is now available through the Selection Cart. Choosing this download option prepares an anonymous FTP directory from which user can retrieve their selected data.
- Selection Cart . The search output page have a column of buttons to allow selection of records. After making your selection, click Add Selections to Cart . To see your current selections click on View Cart.
- RA/Dec Sorting options in search response . Click on the Ra or Dec to reverse the sorting on the Ra column or in descending order for Dec. Clicking again will reverse the order.
- Integration of the Cart into the Cutout Viewer. Users now have the option to either add a cutout selection to their Cart or update a current selection in their cart.
- Several enhancements were added to the Cutout Viewer. RA/Dec coordinate overlay was enhanced. Other minor changes and bugfixes were made.
- New data releases:
- 20 more images from Deep Lens survey.
- Addition of Sextans A & B and M31 images from the Local Group Survey.
- A Fundamental Plane Peculiar Velocity Survey of Rich Clusters within 200 h-1 Mpc

V1.1: 27 June 2002
- Data Release 1, Version 2 of the NOAO Deep Wide Field Survey is available. This release/version uses images stacked with exposure time weighting of the individual input images to produce an approximate 1/variance weighting, resulting in an improved signal-to-noise ratio. Version 2 also includes net exposure masks (_exp.fits suffix), rejected pixel masks (_nrej.fits), and bad pixel masks (_bpm.fits). While the preview GIFs and thumbnails of the actual images are provided in a negative greyscale format, the mask previews are color-coded to make them easy to distinguish from the science images and from each other. The bad pixel masks use a positive red look up table (LUT), and the rejected pixel masks and exposure masks use green and blue LUTs, respectively. Additional discussion regarding the new version of these data are available.
- Users can now sort the results of an archive search using the RA and Dec labels on the output columns. For example, clicking on RA will sort the records in ascending order according to the RA values; clicking again will reverse the order of the sort.
- Updated The Resolved Stellar Content of Local Group Galaxies survey description and investigator list.
- New features and other changes to the NSA are now catalogued on this What's New page.
Data Release 1, Version 1 are no longer accessible via the NSA
Web interface. However, these data can be acquired
via ftp download.
